This beautiful one of a kind dress made from a gorgeous vintage border print. The fabric is a soft sage green and is textured like a seersucker. It has gorgeous blooms circling the border and scattered throughout. I paired it with a floral print in a rust and cream which I used for the tier and straps. This dress is made from a vintage fabric in a sky blue color with pink
painted daisy and regular white daisy be the flowers of choice. This
flowers are more concentrated at the border. I have paired it with a
lavender tone on tone floral that I used to bind the top edge of the
bodice as well as a for deep tier. A hot pink and white dot ribbon accents
the tier.to Long lavender straps tie at the neck and trail down the back.

I found this great vintage fabric and thought it would make a fabulous
smock top dress. It is a mustardy golden yellow with red and green
and small bit of white ethnic type border print. I have paired it
with an azure blue batik fabric for the tier and the binding at the top of
the bodice. I also bound the straps which are just straight straps
that are stitched down in the back enabling you to wear a shirt under if
you so choose. The dress has two pleated center pockets of the
yellow fabric bound at the top in blue. There is bit of yellow
binding used as trim between the ruffle tier and the dress border. Love

I guess that's why they call it the blues? You'll be anything but
blue when you put on this dress. Composed of lots of lovely shades
of blue colors ranging from pale sky to deep indigo. I combined
these blues with a lovely blue floral vintage print. The
bodice is of the vintage print, interlined and lined for body and support.
Two thin straps lace through a set of loops in the back to adjust the fit.
The back bodice has elastic to snug it to your comfort specs. The
skirt portion is cut a-line and the bottom is finished off with a
deep tier of deepest royal blue swirl print. This is a beautiful dress

Here is a nostalgic treat for those berry sweet girlies out there.
Miss Strawberry Shortcake and all her friends make a come back appearance
on this sweet confection of a dress. The main fabric is a recycled
vintage sheet in good condition and very little wear. I have paired
it with a red with white pin dot print. The bodice is first
interlined then lined with a hand dyed lavender muslin. This adds
body and opacity to the bodice. I trimmed the v-neck and under the
bodice with the red pin dot fabric. The red straps cross though back
loops and pull and snug as your comfort allows. Elastic in the back
assures a no-gap fit. The skirt is cut a-line and has a tier
with a band of the red pin-dot separating it from the skirt. Their is an
under slip attached separately to the bodice of a sheer cotton batiste
that has a separate red pin dot tier that peeps from under the over dress.

There are two wonderful vintage fabrics in this dress! The first is a
fantabulous vintage batik border fabric with phishes swimming along it.
This fabric is a teal green/blue with dark navy veins running through it.
The actual batik is done in white. It looks 100% fab with the vintage
navy and white batik ethnic type design. This is a really good
quality batik and I love the way it feels. The bodice is
interlined and then lined in a lime green hand dyed muslin. The
bodice has side boning and I also added some elastic to the top back to
hold it in place when the movement get vigorous. It has a under bust
band to add a little extra style. It has a yellow grosgrain ribbon
and a matching hand made flower that can pin on or off. The skirt is
gently pleated to the bodice so there is not a lot of bulk. I added
a hem band of the blue and navy batik to the bottom and there ya have it.
Simple but eye catching. Of course, if you really want straps, I can

construction a yummy orange on white floral print. This dress
is a true tie back halter, cut with three individual pieces to make the
bodice. The two cups and the wide under bust/waistband. This

paradoxical study in contrast....the halter makes it sexy naughty while
the full multi tiered skirt and narrow ribbon trim give it an

Gorgeous and Classy, this dress is understated but will get you noticed
no the less. I have used a medium weight hemp/cotton blend muslin in
a beautiful Red/orange color. It is cut a-line with a v-neck halter
bodice cut on the bias of the cloth to better conform to your curves.
The bodice is fully lined in a hand dyed bright blue fabric and ties at the neck and right
above the waist. The waist portion also comes to a point in the
front. I have appliquéd on the bodice a beautiful brightly colored
butterfly that I then liberally embellished with swavorski crystals so it
shine an shimmers and gives the illusion of movement when you move.. I then topstitched the bodice in bright blue
shiny thread in a slight zig-zag pattern to highlight the v- design.

I finally managed to find a piece of vintage border fabric to make another garden party dress. I find this type of fabric almost impossible to locate and I have to look in auctions and estate sales to find any. This dress is one of a kind. I do not have additional fabric to duplicate it so if you like it please purchase it as there will not be another exactly like it. The fabric is a lightweight cotton but perhaps blended with rayon? I am not sure, it is very soft to the touch. The colors are really pretty against the off white background. I paired it with a deep ruffle of hemp muslin in a rust color. The ruffle has a hemband in dark brown corduory. I used bias taping at the bodice top and where the ruffle meets the dress. The bodice is mocked to the waist and ties at neck with wide ties of the hemp fabric. Because the fabric is lightweight this dress comes with a muslin petticoat custom made to your size requirements

Here is a new design I am offering. This is all the comfort of
the smocked halter dresses but with sleeves for added warmth. I used
for this dress a beautiful soft nice quality cotton fabric in an earthy
pink color with subtle wallpaper striping type design. The bodice is
smocked to the waist and has added elastic in the sleeves and along the
top front and back bodice. The sleeves are slightly gathered to a
olive green corduory cuff. I have added 3 tiers to the skirt with
the first having the stiripes running horizontal. Bands of corduory
seperate each tier and finally the dress is finished with a corduroy
ruffle along the hem. This is a pretty and comfortable one of a kind

This is a gorgeous yummy dress. I have used lots of different
fabrics in its' construction. The bodice and side panels as
well as the deep tier of the dress are a wonderful soft drapey mossy green
corduory fabric. The patchwork consist of cottons, corduorys and
hemp fabrics in beiges, green, purples and a beautiful ethnic print.
The fully lined bodice is a deep v-neck that has been further embellished
with a lovely embroidered leaf pattern in a shiny rayon thread. The
patchwork straps lace through 2 sets of loops in the back to adjust the
fit. The back skirt portion has elastic for a no gap fit. It
has a deep tier of green corduory fabric. I finished this dress off
with a beautiful embroidered swirl trim under the bodice and at the tier.

I thought about the fact that I haven't done a scoop neck dress in a while so here is one. This is made of three sister prints in a gorgeous rusty red on tea-stained fabric. The front of the bodice is the lighter fabric and the back bodice is the darkest fabric. This is a fitted dropped waist dress that is fitted through the hips and then flares out below starting with the medium colored tier, going to dark with a strip of the lighter fabric in between. wonderful velvety wide wale corduroy in a cinnamon color. The
patchwork panels are at the bottom front and are curved to mimic the inset
pockets at the top. There is a patchwork bib pocket and two pockets
in back, also patchwork. The skirt is a-line and has a side zipper
opening. The bib portion is fully lined in yummy plaid flannel and
the straps are adjustable with overall button and hooks. This

I really wanted to do something different with this beautiful batik. I used two different batiks, a striped and a rich floral. The top would look so cute over a pair of jeans also. I will start the descriptions with the top and work down. The top is the stripe batik fabric with the front stripes going half horizontal and half vertical. The collar stripes are going diagonal. The collar also has a ruffle of the floral print batik and the sleeves also have floral ruffles. There are ties at the neck and in back. I made the back ties extra long so they could wrap around and tie in the front or side. There is a cute pocket of the floral fabric on the front with a shiny brown button. The front shirt has a white border at the hem. The skirt is drawstring. The main body is the floral fabric and the tier is of the stripe fabric. The waistband is separate and the skirt is gathered to it to reduce bulk in that area.

This is a wonderful dress. I have used a beautiful batik fabric. It is brown and cream with deep purple lotus flowers throughout with a denser border of lotus at the bottom. I have paired this with a deep purple hand dyed looking fabric for the ruffle and wide straps. This dress can accommodate a bra underneath but you don't really need one as the elastic smocking gives plenty of support. The top is trimmed in brown bias binding. This is a really pretty dress and you will be sure to get many many compliments when you wear it!

Anyhow, it got a comfy smocked top that give you some support. It has three tiers and is supa spinney as the upper dress portion is cut A-line. The fabric is beautiful and soo soft and drapey. They just don't make cotton like this anymore. This is oldstock fabric from the 40/50's and is so beautiful . It is a golden earthy maize color with rust and turquoise and purple flowers with a lil white sprinkled in. All colors have a muted quality. Lovely. I have used a lovely mottled rust cotton for the accent strips and the final tier, and the straps, which are sewn into place in the back. Measurements:

Here is the first of my festival designs, giving you more bang for your buck. The skirt converts into a dress! It has straps that button on and convert it unto a halter. It also will work on it's own as a skirt and the top of course will look too cute over jeans. Let me tell you about it. I have made the skirt/dress using mostly a sweet sea green/medium green print. It is so cheerful and feminine. I cut it a-line and it has two sets of tiers, one of sweet lil fairies sitting down and the other tier of medium blue fabric that gives it a huge circumference. If you like to spin when you dance, this will definitely accommodate ya. Yet there is not bulk at the waist/hip area because of the smocking. We use to pull our dresses down and tuck the straps in back in the day to get more mileage out of the dress..Now you can too. The top is a sweet babydoll style. The shoulders tie and the yoke sits above the bust line. There is a blue tie that is stitched down in front and hangs in a pretty bow in the back The skirt portion of the top is a sweet pale yellow fabric with fairy all over. It coordinates with the hem border. It is finished off with a sweet flirty blue ruffle. Measurements:

Beautiful smock top halter dress made from vintage border print fabric. This fabric dates back to the 1950's so it can't be found in stores today. It is sweet with it flowers and butterflies and lil bugs throughout. I have used turquoise calico for the deep tier and finished it off with apple green corduroy which is also vintage. The bodice is smocked with elastic thread and bound with turquoise binding. The straps tie around the neck halter style and are of the same turquoise as the tier. This dress is sorta Marilyn Monroe meets Gunne Sax with its sexy halter style and embroidered hippie flower child fabric. This is beautiful fabric in a deep brown light weight cotton embroidered all over with blue flowers and green vines. This is a fully lined 3 piece bodice with a separate shaped waist. It ties around the neck halter style and then the back laces shut to adjust the fit. There are pleats in the bodice under the bust so I do not recommend this for under a B-cup as it needs to be filled out and this is sized for medium to large ladies about a size 10/12. The gathered skirt has back elastic and sweet cream embroidered lace with blue ribbon trim at the hem. The waist likewise has blue satin ribbon trim. This yummy chocolate confection will see you through may different summer occasions with style.

Too cute for words, this dress is made of some of my much horded vintage fabric from the 1960's. Can ya say Woodstock! This yummy lil dress is sporting all three citrus colors, lemon ,lime ,and orange on a crisp white background. It has a fully lined and darted v-neckline bodice that ties around the neck and then in the back with a wide tie. It is fully lined in a bright yellow sponge print fabric. The a-line skirt is gathered to the bodice and finished off with a ruffle of the bright yellow fabric. The back waist is adjustable drawstring (which I have tied around the waist in a side bow) in the bright yellow fabric. This is a very bright yellow fabric. This is a very cute comfy dress for the coming hot season and best of all if is one of a kind! Measurements: Bust: recommended for sizes

Please note that the dress is too big for the model. This is a super simple an simply sweet backless dress. It has lots of details and is very understated. The fabric is a nice weighty cotton print in a sage green with lighter green and cream flowers through. The bodice is full to waist and has bust darts for a more refined close to the body fit. It ties simply with just one tie in the back. Wide straps are sewn down in back. The bodice has a strip of light seagreen bias trim at the top and along the back openings. There is a sweet flower appliqued to the center front, This is of yellow corduroy and dark green corduroy. There is a green band of the dark green corduroy at the waist. The skirt is gathered to the waist and has elastic in the back. It has a deep ruffle on the bottom with a dark green corduroy hemband and two sweet pockets with yellow corduroy flower appliques and dark green corduroy framing..
